Safety in numbers

In the Danfoss reception area, there is a small display with a single number: the number of days since the latest work-related injury. The same number can be seen on a larger display in the production facility.

Technically, these displays are nothing to boast about, but they mean a great deal to management and staff alike. They reflect company values, and act as a constant reminder as to the importance of workplace safety. Furthermore, they visualise the work being done to reduce occupational injury.

Subsequently, a number of other companies have followed the Danfoss example - with displays provided by Instrumeter.
