China: Newspaper distribution
In China, Instrumeter displays ensure smooth workflow. In the massive distribution center, newspapers destined for various cities and rural areas are loaded onto lorries. From the main port, the driver has an overview of all loading ramps, and a high-resolution display placed above each ramp saves time and guesswork for the driver. All displays are connected to a central computer. Distribution takes place smoothly and simply.
Thailand: Customised airline displays
Instrumeters displays can be customised for special purposes through the use of static information on the frontal glass. Specialised character sets, such as East Asian characters, are not a problem. Instrumeter supplies the software, that “translates” data to characters in the display.
In Thai airports, travellers and personnel are informed of temperature, humidity, and air pollution, via various displays in the airport area. These displays constitute large panels, with information presented in Thai and English.

Mexico: Cutting-edge textile production
In a Mexican textile mill, the cloth is laid out for sewing by an enormous wagon, which moves through the mill on rails. The wagon lays out 20 meters of cloth, and a wagon-mounted laser cuts the cloth in the process. The textile workers remove the pieces of precut cloth for sewing, and the wagon rolls back to prepare for the next trip.
The cutting of the cloth is managed through the use of a touch-screen PC, mounted directly on the wagon. In this part of the world, advanced technology of this caliber is an extremely expensive investment, and technical support personnel, can be far off. The equipment has to work, in spite of heat, humidity, and dust, and withstand the shocks and vibrations of thousands of trips a year.
